Le Beaujolais est arrive'!!

Johnnie Ganem's announces the arrival of Nouveau Beaujolais, but this year we want to point out that it is reasonably and more correctly priced. Also, this year, you have a choice...The Georges Dubouef is back this year at $9.99, and the Mommesin is $ 8.99...so come on in and get a few bottles of this "Turkey Wine!"

Wines made in Savannah!?!

Speaking of wines that go well with turkey, we are now featuring the Butterducks Wines located just up the road in Guyton, Ga...sweeter style fruit wines made from Blueberry ($12.99), Blackberry ($10.99), and Peach ($10.99). Butterducks also offers a number of vinifera varietals grown in North Georgia, the Viognier standing out as being the most suitable for Turkey Day. The Savannah Viognier ($18.99) is floral scented, round in the mouthfeel, and a perfect accompaniment to Oyster stuffing & all those rich Holiday dishes.

Our suggestions for the Holidays...

Go with something easy to drink, light in alcohol, and food friendly. If you like your heavy reds, then most certainly stick with what you know (or accustomed to drinking), but why not plan on at least having some whites around for your guests and family.

2) Kuhl Riesling 2006- From the Mosel region of Germany, this Riesling is citrus and floral on the nose with a round, slatey mouthfeel..good with drier foods like turkey.($10.99)
